If you have been in a motor vehicle accident, you can receive 12 pre-approved acupuncture treatments from a registered acupuncturist within 12 weeks.
ICBC allows you to receive acupuncture treatment without a doctor’s notice for 90 days from the date of the car accident.
If additional sessions are required, we can ask ICBC to extend the coverage.
ICBC & we only need a claim number to start your care.
Acupuncturists are expected to assess patients and determine their treatment plans by the College practice standards, using evidence-informed practice when establishing a diagnosis and providing treatments.
ICBC may request acupuncturists to provide clinical records. ICBC is not permitted to request clinical records without written patient consent.
